As I was watching Attack of the Show on G4 the other day they played a short video off of YouTube. Now this is not unusual, and usually its some little viral video that they found surfing, probably at some geek site, but this one caught my attention.
The video is a cover of a REM song, End of the World done with videos of George W. Bush and friends. Really well done, what struck me was the amount of time it would have taken to have it all match up so perfectly.
Going through the directors videos I was just amazed at the complexity of some of the songs, and the creativity needed to do it. The one that struck me the best I think is the cover of Should I Stay or Should I Go, originally by The Clash, redone ala Tony Blair (through the graces of a video editor.)
Its worth a look in my opinion, if only to gasp in shock at the time in front of a computer that goes into an accomplishment like those videos.
